Timeline
- Began to fix bikes as a kid in Pennsylvania with tools he borrowed from his father
- At 10 years old, he was given two mini-bikes and later got a Rupp 80cc dirt bike, on which he learned to ride "like a lunatic"
- After getting his drivers license in 1985, he got to Honda 600 Hurricanes, which he proceeded to fix up, wreck up, fix up, paint, race, wreck up, fix up...
- In 1986, began working at a local car dealership in Brookyn and Manhattan as a full time Master Technician and Union Delegate. Stayed eight years
- In 1988, bought his first Harley, an '88 Sportster which he promptly lowered 1/2" all around, painted two tone silver and black and converted from 883 to 1200cc
- Met Nelson, owner of Nelson's Hawg House on 12th Street in Brooklyn, in 1988 while trying to sell the Sportster. Instead, he ended up buying two Shovelheads (including the "fire bike", AKA the "rat bike". Began to help out around the shop and worked on completing his new bikes
- Started building custom bikes in 1989
- In the early 90's he became a full time technician at Plaza Honda Cycles in Brooklyn
- Jockey shift rigid was built in 1996
- 2000- had no car, no wife and two bikes
- In 2002, Joe, the owner of Copperfields, introduced Nial to his cousin Butch, who had a 5,000 square foot shop in Bay Ridge Brooklyn. Joe thought Butch might be interested in renting Nial a portion of the space. An agreement was made and was sealed over drinks and a handshake. Nial moved in a week later and has been there ever since
- Met Diane in 2003. By 2004 he had a car, a wife and thirty-one bikes
- In 2005 Nial quit his day job and the shop was officially opened after a rocking October grand opening BBQ
- Since opening, business has been hopping... a few highlights include a black and orange FLT, a grey jockey shift 88" shovel motor with a wishbone frame, Sturgis build- a brush bear metal with candy translucent flames, late model Paughco rigid frame 38 degree rake black bike, EVO motored rev tech 5 speed BDL 3" open drive black bike with Arlen Ness pipes, 88" polished shovel 4 speed polished tranny red bike, 93" mag driven belt driven tank shifted rocker clutched FL, Pegasus tanked 93" kick only 200 tire drag bike swingarm (400 lb!!!) ridiculousness
